Silly side note but crumb cakes always make me think of my mom (she passed 13 years ago. She was as sweet as her sweet tooth and always bought us Entermanns cake and that sort of thing) - she used to laugh and say “I can tell who has been in the crumb cake!” by the inconsiderate trail of crumbs I’d leave on the counter as a child.
When I saw pictures of your delicious creation on Instagram I thought I might recapture some of those memories of my mom (while also supporting a local business and happily filling my belly - win, win!)
